Lyne Network Committee Members
The Lyne Network committee is a dedicated group of volunteers with years of experience in various fields: community, public service, corporate and scientific organisations.
We are all ordinary people who individually feel strongly about certain aspects of our community. We have diverse backgrounds and live in different parts of the Lyne electorate.
Collectively, working together, we know we are stronger.
Chair Person: Gillian Calvert
Gillian's background as an advocate for children has provided her with the capability to support people and community groups to organise around issues important to them. She was the first Children’s Commissioner in Australia. Prior to that she held a range of roles including senior leadership roles in the NSW public service, university lectureship, consultancy and family therapy. She sits on a number of Boards and advisory Committees. Gillian now divides her time between her regenerative beef farm outside Dungog and Sydney. She is passionate about building community connections, First Nations justice and the environment.

Treasurer: Michele Glossop
An extensive background in the financial sector for both profit and Not-for Profit organisations helping to build Financial awareness as the backbone of any organisation. This together with her passion to help others by passing on 45 years of education and experience has provided Michele with the opportunity to be involved in a variety of charities both in the capacity of consulting and board membership. Michele has lived in a number of places across Australia, including a remote Aboriginal community. Michele feels strongly that it is doing something about affordable living and homelessness for our most vulnerable should be a priority across our electorate.
